Conference Venue: Vrije Universiteit
of our 49th International Annual Meeting in Amsterdam
The "Vrije Universiteit" (VU) is a hospitable campus in the South of Amsterdam. The campus features excellent facilities for education and research, and facilitates new education- and workstyles with several foyers, gardens and coffee corners. The VU campus was recently extended with sport and cultural facilities, and can now be seen as a small village within Amsterdam. The VU was founded in 1880 and is one of the two main universities in Amsterdam with over 20.000 students.

Vrije Universiteit - Environment
The VU campus is located in the “Zuidas”, a commercial area with an international allure. It offers comprehensive hotel- and recreation services, with several bars, restaurants, sport centers, shops, events and exhibitions. Furthermore, the Zuidas is located near the Beatrix Park and “Amsterdamse Bos” (Amsterdam Forrest; 3x the size of Central Park in NYC), green areas that are perfectly suited for a walk, a workout, or a glass of wine at a patio restaurant.
