Integrating Diversity into Psychotherapy Research
The local organizing committee is delighted to host you all next year in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a unique city with a vibrant community, in a beautiful 17th century décor. The city is equally loved by tourists as by residents, and is famous for its art, canals, flowers, cyclists, cheese, and open-mindedness. Amsterdam originates from a small fishing village in the 13th century. Since then, Amsterdam has had a strong tradition as a center of trade, art and immigration. During the 17th century, which is considered Amsterdam’s Golden Age, Amsterdam became Europe’s leading financial and maritime center. Nowadays, Amsterdam has become one of the most multicultural city in the world. With residents from 180 different countries, the city is a true melting pot of cultures. It embraces a variety of different lifestyles, religions and beliefs. For example, the city is considered by many to be the gay capital of Europe, and also still has an active squatters movement. It might seem contradictory to outsiders, but the city's enormous variety of residents works well because of mutual respect and tolerance. The south of Amsterdam, where the conference venue is situated, is a lively international business area, close to green areas such as the Amsterdamse bos, a park three times the size of Central Park in New York City.
Come visit the country of Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh and Mondriaan, take a bike tour over Amsterdam’s many bridges, enjoy a boat tour on the UNESCO World Heritage canals, or relax or work out in one of the many parks of the city. And if you are looking for windmills and clogs, those are only a 20 minute train ride away at the Zaanse Schans.

in Amsterdam, The Netherlands is "Integrating Diversity into Psychotherapy Research".
The Program Committee encourages proposals that reflect constructive dialogues and open interchange of ideas and research results that have long been of interest to the SPR community.
